Hi folks

Aired up my Axe down at beautiful Bricketwood this Saturday and the ugly thing just farted at me constantly. The bolt sticks forward and vents air making mildly entertaining noises teeheehee. There is no leaking from the grip frame (or eye plate methinks). This is second Axe I have owned, brought it from new a few months ago, never seen the problem before.

Any ideas? Am I right to think the niod is not doing its job?

Cheers

have a look at the back cap , unscrew fully out then empty,
there should be a Brass bit with "o " rings on it, this is usually missed, Grease it up and you should find all is ok.

Hi Bluey, the clear oring on the brass thing was fairly clean and well lubed, just cleaned her up and re lubed it, still farts:(

Normally Axe's make a loud distinct click when the solenoids cycle with no air, mine sounds much much quieter like a DM? ...Yes I have put new good quality 9v battery's in.

OK , how about screwing all the way in on the back cap then unscrewing back out again several times, Don`t be heavy handed doing this,
then have a look at the " O " ring at the bottom of air pipe going into the OOPS, this really needs to be changed after every 6-8 boxes of paint anyway, It may look ok but they get hammered what with the Air going in direct, don`t forget to lube = Dow 33
the dwell may be low, should be 8 or was it 7 ??

done through the board NOT the trigger !!
also it may help to do this to stop any issues when on the field =
- Firing mode PSP : ( Red Solid : 2 Flash)
- Max Rate of Fire : 10.5 ( Green Solid : 1 Flash)
- Ramping point : 5.5 ( Flashing Green : 5 Flash)
this should also sort out your settings when done
Now your marker will be ramping to 10.5 bps when you pull the trigger over 5.5 times per seconds, AFTER the 3rd shot. Which is the Millenium Mode.

Screwing the back cap in does not seem to do much. Adjusting the input pressure from the reg just changes the tone of the fart. The oring at the bottom the the air transfer tube was changes at Campaign Cup by a Kee super duper tech.

I must tell you having not go involved with the Axe board settings thread, my Axe compiles with all the Millennium stipulations in default Millennium mode, yes ramps after the third pull!

ha ha Yeah ok, screwing the back in and out was to elleviate or put pressure on/off the poppet.
The front reg should Never go over 200 anyway, ( shouldn`t need to touch that ) in fact everyone`s trying to bring that down as much as they can for better consumption and for the gun to run in a better way,
can`t really tell you too much on here without looking at it, as it may Void anything you may have in the way of a Warranty. or get picked up by the Mods ? Axe`s are such an easy gun to work on but in the same token they can be just as easy to go wrong, perhaps re-check the "O" rings?
