HALO's aren't supposed to have eye problems (ie, the eye isn't supposed to affected by light or paint shells) you might want to ring Odyssey and see if they suggest anything (or if there's any parts they may need to replace), unless you want sorry lookin' tape all over your hopper.

Why would you mask off the eye anyway? If you look at the blue plastic bit, you can see where the eyes are situated. It shouldnt be affected by the sun.

My Halo B doesnt like black shell paint.... and if I recall correctly the manual actually warns you against using black shelled paint.

More likely your board/hopper might be damp. Take the hopper apart and give everything a good dry out.

just had a reply from albert at odyssey. his suggestion is to mask the sensors due to sunlight interference.

on another note there will v soon be a proper DIY rip drive fitment available in the uk. thats all the details i have. will post here if this mod works:cool:

A quick note: the very latest Halo B's (including mine) come pre-fitted with this fix (small screw through the protruding bit on the blue feed neck.)

And another quick note to confirm that Halos still don't like black-shelled paint :(
