Got a scoop/event?
Makes you wonder whatever happened to loyalty in this industry, eh? I'm still trying to verify this rumor, and perhaps this story will break something loose, but it makes you wonder.
The story I'm hearing from those rascally anonymous sources are that the boys from the beach are looking to move on from Smart Parts and into the Empire Camp. Word also has it that the boys aren't happy with their Shockers, I guess they're not fast enough for them. I'm also hearing that they're stuffing Viking WAS Boards in the guns in an attempt to make them faster...which would explain the near-constant problem Dynasty has with runaway guns.
Empire's snatched up some seriously quality teams this year, and Lord knows the exposure Dynasty can give a company is worth paying their price, but whatever happened to loyalty? Rocky Cagnoni could have any marker in the world in his hands, and be paid to do so...but because of his loyalty to WDP, he continues to shoot an Angel. Our very own Dale Ford has been personally sponsored by Centerflag for over 5 years now, and I heard a rumor that another airsystem company offered him a deal and he laughed at them...then again, I understand the other company tried to get Dale onboard while Dale was talking to "Sammo", the VP of sales at Centerflag, at the Centerflag booth.
I'll keep digging around, but I suspect whatever decision team Dynasty makes regarding their marker of choice will come as a surprise to us all.
UPDATE: I contacted Alex Fraige of Dynasty and his response was that Dynasty is not going to be switching to Empire or NPS. But, they also said the same thing when the WDP/Smartparts rumors were rolling around.
Time will tell.
