With such a massive Pro field for the biggest and best NPPL event yet I can't help but wonder if it will come off as super-incredible and if it does will a controlled 18 team field next season seem deficient by comparison?

It has to. I mean, deficient may be too harsh, but there is always something missing when some of the game's better players are off playing antisocial X-Ball.
