model98 - 98c???

I been looking in to buying an old 98c to mess about with in the bad weather andnot have to care as much about, and i just wanted to no dose any one no the difference between a model98 and a 98c???

this question prob been asked loads time but i could find it and this is probably the wrong place for it but any help would be apriceated.

I think that the 98C was made with aftermarket additions in mind. It has spaces in the body to accomodate parts for electronic trigger kits, reactive trigger kits, and so on. The Tippmann 98 was the original release. It did have these spaces in the body.

I might have that all wrong, but I think 98C is for 98 "custom".

yea the c is for custom, i was just woundering because im geting an old 1 hopefully. well im looking and wanted to no if there was and performans difference, so if wat you said is correct then that means prob cant fit a flatline on one:( so im looking for a 98c then:p

I'm thinking that Flatlines might work ok on the old ones... since everything attaches to the outside...

I am out of my depth on Tippmann's, here, though. Hopefully someone else will have more info for you. In any case, you could get on of those Apex barrels that do about the same thing, probably.

im not sure id they would because the flatlinf sits under the shell, so u undo the bolt near the barele threads and kind of wedge it in, then screw something in so the old one mitw not have the space to fit it in but i may be wrong.

You've got it right, the '98C had spaces inside for aftermarket products. There are some cosmetic differences too, but nothing major.
