Hi there Any 1 know whats happening with the new improved grip and new setting for the board to c how fast u shoot etc.

Now i know it is coming but when do you recon

not a clue,
ive heard that the grips were changed a while ago, slightly different shape or summut....

the other stuff will be firmware changes i think, and therefore can be uploaded to all eblades......

having used 3 or 4 different eblades ive seen two that had version 1.3 firmware and two with 1.6
they can be upgraded by plugging into on of planets computers and flashing the software to the grip....probably a similar process to upgradeing mobile phone firmware

have also heard mention of a 'safe mode' that deactivates the trigger without turning the grip off...maye a rumour i dunno

best bet is to ask planet, although the answer will more than likely be 'when its ready'

I recently got 1.6

And no safe feature that I can see. Grips have been updated as Jahlad said, I believe that the latest frames have a 'slightly' different trigger, I know this as I wanted a silver anodised trigger for my Cobalt Eclipse, and jack said the new ones would not fit.....arse

When did you guys get your Eblades? Mine has 1.6 (or 1.06, I cannae remember) and she was delivered late November. Any ideas on the date for the PC link cable?

Got mine in October

was v1.01 when I got it, planet updated it whilst I was there to set it up.

Didnt ask about the cable, pointless extra if you ask me (please dont)

I totally agree that the PC link cable is unecessary as all the parameters of the marker can bet set on the frame. However, I admit freely that I am a complete paintball tart and I find the desire to have a laptop in my kitbag irresistable. When are we gonna beat the IR3's at their own game and have a Bluetooth chip built into our Eblades? j/k

So we can upload to our IPAQs, or so we can dial out via a BT Mobile, and chat with other Eblades???

eBlade Info

Latest version of eBlade firmware is version 1.06. This version offers improved eye operation, larger capacity shot counter, and a faster 'factory fast' setting.

You can upgrade to the latest version at our store or by visiting our stand at any major event.

There is another version on general release which is version 1.07. This version will only work on modified circuit boards and provides a Warpfeed interface.

The PC link is in the prototyping stage and will be available soon, once we're happy with it.

As far as future enhancements are concerned.... you'll have to wait and see.
