Hello all, i have a second hand mini baught it about a month ago. I was using it today for about the forth time and while chronoing i was getting dramatic fps fluctuation( ranging from 120 to around 300).
Before it has been fairly bad on fps (fluctuating between 30fps difference roughly) but not as bad as this, i baught a new bottle from on here to try today but it just back from hpac testing and passed so surely cant be that?
Also installed a techt derlin bolt but kept the original spring which was first used today, is there any chance that would do it?

Any help would be amazing thanks

Yeh i heard you can change your dwell didnt realise you had too tho..
Marker should be lubed fine as i always keep on top of it, goin to have to send it to kee and see what they can do i think as i doubt its a quick fix thing
Do you own a mini mate, if so if a right git to unsrew (and screw) the bottle if it got air in it?

something like this happened to me before, i think i resolved it by making the back bolt flush (where you put the allen key in the back and turn it out under it starts to hiss) then you just screw it back in with quarter turns, i think thats how i resolved it (might need confirmation from a mini tech)

also have you checked all the o rings, put in a new battery etc.?

hope that helps in some way :)

oh and about the bottle being hard to screw in, yeah they are
either:
screw it in and air up whilst it's attached
buy an on/off asa/reg called the empirw relay
or apply a small amount of triflow to the threading of the asa/reg

yes i own a mini and yes it is hard to unscrew the bottle on the stock asa/reg lucky for me i have the relay on/off asa which makes it easy to unscrew. you can also buy a on/off asa adapter which can be found here: http://www.demonpaintball.co.uk/Browse-By-Brand/Trinity/Trinity-On/Off-ASA-Adapter/prod_437.html it is cheaper than the relay. I have heard that the adapter can cause some problems tho and it will also add some length to you setup.
But i think your problem may be dwell as it will take less air to push the bolt forward due to it being lighter so you may need to mess around with that a bit. But thats just my theory.

Ok guys, i looking into the on off asa at the minute, hopefully theyl just plonk one on for me for me while it has a service and check over..
I saw about the adjusting dwell but it lookd a bit complicated for my simple mind, has any one got the derlin bolt and spring kit?
Its spot on 200psi

Ok well i just looked and it said that the recommended dwell for the mini when the derlin bolt is installed is 7-8ms.
I know how to do this and i can help you if you like.
It also says to lower your operating pressure but if you dont know what you are doing with that i would leave it and send to kee as you can really **** up your gun messing with you operating pressure.
I would also like to add you cant go wrong with Kee amazing customer support and they will sort it if you cant.

Right ok, I know how to access the dwell settings and change them but im kinda srewed as my air bottles empty and i have no chrono so i would be able to see the change, by the time ive got to my local site to do this it probably would be quicker to send it to kee and pray it only costs me £1.50
No i havent tried changing poppet as only happenes today, i believe my mini a v2 so kee may be able to do some upgrades?
