Millennium Series : M5 Adjustement

After its successful invention during the 7MAN World Cup in Marseille the Millennium Board decided to adjust the M5 in some ways to serve the needs and demands of the Europan tournament scene.

The M5 is a self seeding event. This means that all teams entering are put into divisions of seven teams each for the first day (Saturday). Each divsion is playing a round robin so each team will play six games using standard Millennium rules for 5 Man play, either on morning or afternoon slots.

M5 is to be played on two Fields adjacent to each other. Games on both fields will be started simultaneously. Game time is 5 minutes. Each new game session starts two minutes after the games before on both fields have been ended. Teams will only have to wait about 20 minutes between games.

On Saturday Night teams are seeded by their score into new divisions of seven and play a further six games on Sunday morning / early afternoon.

After each team has played its 12 games , the top 4 teams (Saturday and Sunday scores are added up) will be qualified directly for the finals which are held on Sunday afternoon.

Seeding Points are awarded for each place and there will be a ranking analogous to the Millennium ranking. The ranking will be published like the regular MIllennum ranking on millennium-series.com as well as all publications we are working with worldwide.
