Im just wondering what the plans are for 2006.
Is Millennium series going to lock the 17 best rank and the best div 1 team like NPPL have done?

Looking at the rankings it looks like this can be a problem.

What if Dynasty and avalanche dont make it to Madrid? Are we going to have a pro division without those 2 teams? That would make the status of the pro division much weaker in my mind.

If Dynasty and Avalanche plays Madrid, it will be extremely difficult for them to make it into the top 15, even with winning the event.

They can only catch the teams in positions 10 to 15 - and even the Tigers in 15th spot "just" needs to finish in the top 16, and they can no longer be caught by Avalanche or Dynasty.

I think anyone below Hellwood in the standings is without a "real" chance of making the cut.

It's the European Pro league, isn't it supposed to be weaker?

But obviously, Millenium can't simply go on ranking, as not allowing Dynasty to play Pro would give the advantage to NPPL - both in that they WILL have Dynasty playing Pro, and that IF Dynasty does decide to play Millenium, they'd be beating up on teams one division lower, and if they play for the whole season, pretty much eliminating the chance that any legit not-pro team would make the cut to advance, and thus also eliminating a chief motivation to play.

Actually, two Div. 1 teams will be promoted at the end of next season (and two CL teams relegated).

Anyhow - I think most Europeans would prefer seeing 4-5-6 top US teams in the Champions League next year, but when they have opted not to try to qualify, there's not much you can do about it.... you can't force teams to play if they don't want to.

BUT - a lot may happen during the winter, and we might yet see something entirely different for next season..... stranger things have happened in paintball before ;)

This is of course may well all be thrown into a whole new ball game if some things that have been proposed come about..........if it happens, let's hope it happens quickly !

Most Euros would love to see Pros from the US ... hell who wouldn't.

But at the end of the day what is in it for US teams to come across? There has not been a fantastic attendance from US teams (at least from what I can see on this side of the world) ... and the only reason I assume that XSV have attended EVERY Millennium event is because of the Eclipse sponsorship that they have (but hell, I could be wrong - been known to happen at least once before).

It would be poorer - IMHO - to give a "Pro" ranking to a US team who did not qualify ... and then have them not attend a couple of events for a variety of reasons.
