With the NPPL annoucing 2005 with no mention at all of a Euro hook up or even Euro events, and Millennium also ommitting to say anything about a states side tie in,

Is it all over?

Are the 2 series going to be stand alone with zero cross over?

Does this breathe life into the dying idea of Euro Xball?

questions...questions....

I realise all that, but I'm feeling cynical today.

"To top this we will have sanctioned 5 man events in order to ensure the development of the teams of tomorrow"

5 man? as a feeder to 7man? what are they on.

IF the Millennium haven't hooked up with the NPPL they surely the PSP/Xball hook up would be either back on or at least considered?

IMO even if everything is clarified and sorted out tomorrow it will still be a bit late in the day. I'm sure teams will still play, but i'd be pissed off if i was being kept hanging on and not able to make final plans, and i'm sure at least a few teams will feel the same and won't bother.

Uh-oh

It don't look good does it?

I hope it all sorts itself out but one thing I used to love about teh Millennium Series was going to see lots of the top teams in the world playing.

I dont suppose many yanks will cross the pond this year? But who knows - fingers crossed for the MS

And yeah - 5 man sanctioned events? Thats serious blue sky thinking. NOT the way forward

Could the 5 man events be something like the Centurio 5 man Eastern Europe Series? Thats what they have available to them in Eastern Europe and Mill could be looking to bring them into their umbrella? I know they use Mill series rules...

I'm guessing that's the reason they raised the prize money. They hope it'll draw in the big teams. But I think most of them will have a full agenda and stretched resources as it is, with two big domestic leagues on their side of the big dip.
