This is on the MS press release:

MILLENIUM RANKINGS
Division 1, 2 & 3 teams can compete in any of the nine events. They will earn full ranking points at all main Millenium events and points to the value of 80 % at all Partner events. Marshalling teams will earn 200 points at the main Millenium Events. At the end of the season the best 5 scores will count towards the Millenium rankings.

Doesn`t this mean that it will be even less interesting to play the Partner events for the teams that is going for the Millenium title.
1. You will probably have less teams attending the partner events, and that, with the point system we have today will give you less points, and on top of that you will just get 80 % of those points!

And:

If i understand this right you will only get reffing points on the main events!

Won`t this give the organizers of the partner events a hard time to get reffing teams?

Just wondering:confused:

Question

Last year it was prizes for the top 8 at the end of the series, for Am A and Am B:

"Am A and Am B will receive prize vouchers to 4th at the end of each tournament. Top 8 at end of Series will receive prize vouchers. Novice will receive trophies at each event. Teams can only play 2 events a s Novice and consequently there are no Series Prizes."

It says nothing about this on the Millenium site, for this year concerning Div. 1 and 2. (Am A & Am B)

But since you still get 200 points for reffing some of the events (main), i guess it will be like last year?

this will not matter this year as you will be locked into a division for the entire season.
though i do have a question - do teams selrf seed and therefore what is to stop a top team entering itself in to a lower division.

Yes, it is self seeding, but what would be the point in putting a top team into the lower divisions? They will get abused all year, will win hardly any prize money and no kudos. And they would not be representing sponsors well, as well as finding it hard to find backers if they were in the lower leagues as there would be no prestige.

thats a comment depending on the sayer...

but yes i agree to a certain point....a team can be on top of his own division thus making them a top team or they can win everything like a certain US team and thus be a top team...

so its a devious thing to think it so straight forward imo!

I guess what i'm getting at is a lot of teams say they're top ranked Pro, but their results say otherwise.
Seems to be a bit of Denial going around these days...

I don`t know if you include us in that statement, i guess not, but for the record: I have never said that we are top ranked pro! You just have to look at the results for 03 to see that:)

But we did have a future plan.. And with the changes the MS is doing now, that brought up a whole lot of questions!

And Johan:
"Why dont you ask then!!! "

We`re gonna! Believe me. But it could happen that there were other teams wondering about the same.
