Millenium Draws are released.

All the draws for the first Millenium have been posted on the Millenium website, thats a nice bonus for all the teams, you normally only get to know who you are playing on arrival.

All the divisions draws can be found in the relevant "News" section from CPL to Div 3.

I would like to know why the new teams in div1 are ranked highest?

You can see the CPL draw has one of the new teams in 4th seed as they have bought the spot of chillis who ended up 4th. I would suppose they've done the same in div 1 as they dd with SPL. So whoever bought whichever spot, takes their result from last year

Now why they have still used a snake draw for all but the CPL I don't know. Were playing the same teams as ever before. Just do like with CPL and make each pot and draw one from each for the group. Instead of 4 pots of 4, use 7 pots of 4 for SPL, etc etc.
Am I wrong?

Er, surely you need an equal number of teams per pot to the number of pots drawn from for such a draw to work. With a 3 prelim game format it restricts the total to 16!

I meant 4 pots of 7. Take seed one to 7 in pot one. And so on, pick one from each pot until 4 are drawn making a group of 4. SPL has 28 teams, divide by 4 makes 7. What's wrong with that?

Not a great looking draw for few of the French teams. Brand new location for Millennium event in middle of Paris and 3 French teams all get drawn in the same group. Plus to top that off they get Dynasty as the other team in the group
