I wonder if somebody could explain to me if they do relatively the same job?

What is the difference and pros and cons of using say the smart Parts micro flow system VS say a Dye preset bottle.

Regards,

Paul

They basically do the same job but it's a different approach.
Using the preset approach the bottle can be unscrewed and like i do, used to power two guns, but the maxflo style reg is bolted to one gun and cannot be easily switched. If you only have one gun then the maxflo is fine but if like me your tight and only have one bottle for two guns then you'll need a preset.
Hope that helps
Colin

i have a minimaxflow and it can be quite frustrating if you want to switch the system between guns but with me its not regularly an issue because i only ever use the ego and my team mates have spare bottles if it ever did go down.
Basically if you like your setup very short then its deffo worth the cons, its also a very good reg, can add a good bit of consistency depending on what reg you were using before and looks the "dappa-don-darkie-geezer" on a black marker.

Well nobody really, Basically only just getting back into the sport after and 10 year plus gap. Purchased an Ion with micro flow as a starter and have done a few walks on to get a feel. Might purchase another marker and was wondering if i should stay with the micro flow or go preset!
