So whats the rumour, why are they pulling the plug?. I was looking forward to seeing the NXL extravaganza. Doh!

Does the rumour say whether they are playing x-ball?
or will they be partaking of the 7 man format

It only succeeded in getting the response: "Yes, you're an arse who has 10 seconds to get off the field before I go pulling your teammates armbands"
Anyways, back to topic: If this rumour proves to be true, and Effect do play Toulouse, in any capacity (7-man or x-ball), and the NXL isn't going, sureley this must be a signal that the "you only play NXL events" thingy is all about to end - I reckon that'd be a good thing, up the level of other tourneys again, and the NXL players have (I seem to remember) been whinging about wanting to play elsewhere as well.

and if it is true that they can now go play other series, we can be damn shure Effect is not the only team to make it to Toulouse. I´d say all of the NXL teams will come across.

Some can't afford it, some are still pissed at the French and would boycott anyway along with a lot of non-NXL teams...anyways, who's saying tha NXL no-other-tourney rule isn't still in, ahem, effect?
