How's about running a 'paintball personality of the year award' on the site. You know, just like the bbc thing. Perhaps individual nominations for 'team of the year', 'captain of year' 'dick of the year' etc. Get some nominations in, and then shortlist them. Everyone votes. Give the winner a trophy.

And this time no cheating. No taking people out of the top 100 players of all time, and no fiddling the top three.

hmmm, not a bad idea but not quite there I'm afraid, we can't issue awards like 'Best Team' or 'Captain of the Year' because to appraise those awards via the board would be 'virtually' pointless.
The awards would have to be considered on the basis of submissions to this board and as such awards like :

Most Stoopid Post
Funniest Post
Character of the Year
Dumbass of the Year
Best Signature under User Name
Funniest Profile
Most Polpular Poster
Most hated Poster
The Homer Simpson Award for overall champion stoopid poster that has above and beyond the call of stoopidity posted far too many idiotic posts.
The Robbo award for being the coolest Poster (I have to pick that)
The Rancid award for Most cynical Post
The TJ award for consistently losing the most debates

And so on :----
These would be the type of things we could do and would also be relevant.

The Mr Big award for never bothering to post messages despite being moderator of most of the boards and quite possibly the most knowledgeable person in paintball

no, not just limited to the board. 'paintball personality of the year'. We could put it up on other boards and get the whole paintballing world to vote one individual. One man, who above all shows wit, sharpness of mind, is dead good looking and can play a bit of paintball. Think about it Pete, one man revered by the whole world of paintball. Is it starting to gather momentum?

Although a board one would be interested. New Years honous list - that way you get the crown for the whole year.
