What's with all this business about threatening to kick someones head in for not paying for stuff in the classifieds?

Whilst I know that it's completely unacceptable and I don't condone ripping people off in the slightest, isn't assault also a criminal offence?

Surely contacting the police is the only legally way incidents like this can be resolved.

I've got an idea, DON'T pay for any items up front, arrange to meet up at a local tourny, or like buying a car, exchange the cash for the goods in a public place, like a motorway service station?

You don't really think anybody is actually going to commit GBH do you ?,LOL m8 don't belive everything you read its just people letting off steam.
As for the police getting involved, they won't.Their a waste of time for this sort of thing, why do you think the scammers do it .

We need to sort out some way of combating what seems to be a growing problem, how I'm not sure, maybe some sort of seller feedback\trusted list.
Any ideas ?

I'm with Woody, best way to buy\sell is meet up ,check out the kit and pay CASH .
Myself I'd never buy from a new member ,and always check the persons posts for both buying and selling.
If I don't meet up,I prefer to pay \be paid by cheque ,yes it takes time but it means you've a way of tracing the account holder via the bank ,and also you've some evidence of the transaction.

Maybe an ebay style 'trader feedback' sticky should be added to classifieds with Tom Allen as the mod/controller of bad user lynchings....useful for some, amusing for others.

....Just throwing the idea out there.

Your right there, Bought my dark timmy in a service station, and I got a full rundown on it, how it works and everything, got to see if it was working before i bought it, I was happy with it so I did and it was well worth the drive. :D

went and drove to london (250 miles each way) to pick up a timmy. the way I looked on it £50 petrol for peace of mind was defiantly worth it.

When your shelling out £700 (was a while ago now) then another £50 dont make much difference. Though try and meet halfway Im sure most sellers if your genuine in wanting to buy would ablidge.

though worked out a lot more expensive when I went to london £60 fine and 3 points though shouldnt of got caught doing 98mph on a motorway :D
