Can anyone tell me how to strip and service a Maxflo reg. It's one of the later (2004) style 4500psi adjustable regs, with the Hi & low pressure units in line - not stacked as in earlier Maxflo's. The reg is working fine but the on/off o-rings must be knackered because it leaks air from the output with tap turned off.

I've downloaded this manual but its for the earlier stacked design. It's also the only one available to download on the Smart Parts website. The on/off is completely different on mine and I can't see how it comes apart?

Can anyone tell me how to dismantle the on/off, where to get the o-rings and where I can find a service manual this regulator?

Balf,

thanks mate you are a star - this was the maxflo info i needed
http://www.zdspb.com/tech/mguide/regs/main_inline.html

As I suspected I'll need to get the tank off before I can strip the on/off :(

Why Smart Parts didn't keep the external circlip used on the earlier Maxflo, and the newer Maxflo micro is beyond me. It made changing the o-rings a 5 minute job - Arse

Any tips on removing the fiber wrapped tank without damaging it - I expect it's been loctited?

Thanks Tom, I'll try to get the pukka SP o-rings if possible, and failing that check they are a matching spec. I'll also give the boiling water trick a go on the tank :)
