ive got a max flow mini and afibre wrapped bottle now ive been told that regs and bottles should be screwed together to acertain torque setting.so that one cant be screwed apart from the other. now am i ok in taking the bottle of the reg every time (after fuly degassing)i put my marker in my gear bag or should it be kept permanently attached together as one sorry if this is a dumb question

as far as i know its safe to take it of after use. but would be better if the reg and bottle was setup properly

You can remove the bottle from the reg quite safely, but doing this often will lead to the bottle threads becoming worn, and may make your bottle fail it's 5 yearly test (yes they do test the threads for wear). The reason for tightening bottles onto regs at a certain torque, is to stop the bottle separating from the reg when removing the whole system from the marker. As you're not doing this with the sp reg, don't worry.

sorry to thread hijack but what do actually minimax flows do? they arent adjustable, i dont think, what output pressure do they give. somebody told me they regulate the flow of air going into the inline reg, and make it more consistent, but surely the inline reg does that anyway. my brother got one for his ion, and the only difference it made was first shot drop off and he had to raise his dwell?

Ive got a normal max flow and when ive finished for the day i just turn the built in on/off off  then loosen the 2 grub screws on the s-rail and slide it off, leavin the macroline attached to the gun.

Then when i come to re-assemble i slide it on, feed the microline into the elbow on the max flow and pull the bottle back slightly to add a little tension, then screw up.
