Right, im thinking of getting a max flo from the states and i want to know if i need to get that retested? Or is it just US bottles that have to be retested?

Bottle is the only problem, the regs are good to go... You can't get a DOT tested to a PI standard though...
Yup not legal over here as we have high specs for bottle testing (theres a reason why the americans have won the darwin awards for the last 7-8 years

Yer i knew that if i bought it i would have to get it retested but is there any reason why i cant get it retested?
I don't think people will test DOT bottles as they are not made to british specs, your much better off getting one over here, new (50-120) or second hand (50-100).
