Staying warm on a sunday!
hey guys! i have a max flo low pressure reg on my impulse at the mo but im gettin a 2k1 c&c angel this month from this forum and i was wandering if i could use my existing airsystem on the angel cos i have read that the air input pressure should be 800psi before reaching the primary reg!

the max flo will only go up to about 250 i think before the safety valve kicks in! can any of you guys shed any light on this subject! as i am hoping that i can use the it!!
cheers dudes!

Buy the HP spring (which takes you to 300-600 psi I think) and it should work fine. And by the way, the Angel manual recommends 600-650 psi into the mini reg, not 800. A great site now that you own an angel would be www.angel-owners.com, all kinds of angel owners, young and old asking and answering Q's, selling cheap stuff, and otherwise having fun in the "angel club".

This is only a suggestion I have no idea wether or not it would work :

A 3000psi Maxflow acts like a mini-reg or LP reg, just in a different position right?

The pressure coming out of a mini reg on an angel will be around the 100-160 mark. So why not remove the regs internals or get a (stylish) gas through grip and run the pressure straight from the max-flow?

I know the max-flow is capable of it.

I thought this was discussed a couple of weeks ago, and Phil from Smart Parts cleared the confusion. Basically the answer is NO, the low-pressure max flo is a different regulator piston and chamber from the medium and high-pressure model. The manifold etc. are compatible, but you need to replace the regulator itself. The low-p regulator is good up to 240 psi and the high-p one is for 300 and over, with 2 different ranges depending on the spring used.

But yes, it seems to make sense to remove the minireg (replace it with a gas-thru grip) and run low pressure from your existing impy reg straight into the gun. You will get better flow with a single-reg setup, so less shootdown at high ROF, and you won't have to replace the regulator chamber.
