im having trouble with my max flo its an older style 4.5k hight pressure reg.
the problem is the out put pressure drops off,
i set it up to work at 450 psi(for my timmy) and when i start shooting the marker the out put presser gradually goes down , i striped the reg greased what gets greased and cleaned alot of dirt from the dry parts but the problem still persists

*edit*
after all of the above now i cant turn up the out put pressure
i screw the adjuster all the way up and the gaudge ony shows just under 300 psi

oh and yes there is a full fill in the tank

Has the Main spring under the adjuster cap collapsed? It may not look like it has, but, if its old and worn, it's possible. The creeping down could be due to the spring collapsing under preassure from the piston, and now....you cannot dial it up, because the spring isnt doing its job....try replacing the spring with either a new one, or for testing, something of similar, but slightly longer dimensions, and see if it will work.

What may be happening is, the thread on the velocity adjuster has stripped. It may not be tightening up, youll find that it will feel great as you start to screw it on, but as it gets to take up the tension on that ever so strong spring, the thread slips back. If so just order a new cap from SP, common fault.
To check it, get a rule and measure the distance between the end of the cap and the last thread. Turn the cap to increase the velocity at least two turns and see if the distance is shorter. If it hasn't moved , problem solved.

"wd" is a nasty word in paintball circles. WD40 is not good for seals, basically it shags them fairly quickly, all oils and greases need to be silicone based.
