I have just got a matrix, and although everything I see on the web suggests that, the feed tube should unscrew mine doesn't seem to want to..... could it be on early models the feed tube does not unscrew??

You just got it? THEN DON'T MESS WITH IT!!! Play with it on the field first before you get into tinkering with it. Ask at the place that you play for advice from people that have owned a Matrix for a while. Competent, experienced local opinion is indispensible for tech stuff because only so much can be answered and seen from behind a keyboard. After that, check out www.thematrixcenter.com and www.aardvarkdirect.com for further information.

cheers for the advice have checked out thematrixcenter, and they all the different thread breeches , seem to have removable feeds, I just wondered if anyone called tell me if it is the case with the stock cocker threaded breech.... I thinnk a previous owner was a bit to keen on loctite, hance my other thread....

I believe it to be removable, and if loctite is the case just hope it isn't a strong one like red. Use a strap wrench to remove the feed tube. If it doesn't come off with a strap wrench, it's just not going to come off, leastwise not in any fashion you'll want it to, like distorting the body, stripping the threads, or snapping in two. Be sure of course that if you do have a loctite solvent that you plan to employ, take the breach off the gun before applying! I can't imagine something that can dissolve loctite would be good at all for your gun internals.
