A guy on my team recently bought a Gen-E Matrix LED. From the first time we screwed a pre-set in, the thing very clearly rocked - is incredibly fast (in fact, suspisciously fast - as a small aside - there's no turbo mode on the board, is there? I've never shot that fast before and I was wondering why...)
Aardvark bolt, trinity front reg...
Anyway, we played about with it, changed the dip switches, etc - and suddenly it stopped working. When you turned it on, the first shot would fire, but on all shots after, the bolt would still cycle backwards and forwards, but it wouldn't shoot, and if you walked the trigger to fast, it would just gently beep while moving the bolt
We stripped it, re-greased it and re-built it so many damned times (didn't have have any white lithium grease but used lithium grease instead - brown - is that ok?) In the end, I tried out of desperation changing the dip switches - and stone me, it worked again. Feeling really smug, we decided it was just the settings...
Last night, for the first time we put paint through it. It chopped on the second ball, so we changed the settings again. Then it worked fine - for ages. Eventually, we had exactly the same problem as before - first shot fires, then all other ones don't. I figured we probably had a bit of crud in the bolt, so took it insdie, regreased it, didn't work, fiddled around, moved the dip switches, didn't work, then did. Went back out, fired a few times dry, seemed fine, then exactly the same again.
It's starting to drive us nuts. I have no idea whether it's anything at all to do with the dip switches, because it sems so damned inconsistent. The settings we had most joy with were DUDU and DDUU but they were by no means ok all the time - which made me wonder if it was something else entirely. I couldn't see any obviously damage - and really have no idea what to do now, except to plead for help! This first shot firing then all others not is the only constistent thing about it, and I'm hoping that sounds familiar to someone...!
Cheers
