Hi all.

I need to get myself and new mask and have up to £100 max to spend.

I've seen 3 or 4 makes that look great, what do u recommend? Imsliding towards the Sly as they looks great arent too small and are a reasonable proce (around £80).
which do u prefer, or do u have a favourite?

Bear in mind that you will be wearing your mask for extended periods of time, so i'd suggest sacrificing looks in favour of how comfortable the mask is if you have to.

The best advice is to go to a walk on event/training day and ask really nicely if you can try someone's mask on. Everyone has different shape faces and size heads so different masks are comfortable for different people. what may be comfortable for me, might not necessarily be comfortable for you. Try and try on as many different masks as you can.

That said, if you want a straight answer now, i have owned I4's, I3's, proto axis, vforce profilers, e-vents and JT proflex 7's and the JT's are by far the most comfortable and they are an all round great mask. I cant comment on the flex 8 though.

£100 will get you pretty far for a new mask with lenses and all the accessories you can think of, even further if you go second hand, which i suggest. If you do go second hand, i'd definitely replace the lens though, no matter how good it looks.

agree jt flex had mine for like 6-7 years i think and still the most comfortable mask ive warn! although changing lense can be a pain!

i4's are too small and i found that they gave me head aches after a few games even tho it was as loose as it could possibly be also found that the lense wasnt as easy as dye made out to change specially wen trying to put it back in my ones litte latch that locked the lense in place would sometimes not click back without properly yanking the strap!

proto axis arent bad a bit more face protection than the i4s and changing lense is a doddle! and comfortable

gonna be honest here, i LOVE dye i4's on me they are so comfortable and fit so nicely, although they do expose a little bit of the jaw, i disagree with the lense thing it generally only happens due to human error :p although this reflects on that dudes point of it being personal preference e.g. i for example find e-vents very claustrophobic, you gotta try out a variety before you know whats going to be good on you, although these flexs seem pretty popular.

Well, its whatever feels best for you, you need to wear all ones and consider each ones features for yourself and how they will help you.

I`ve had Empire E-Vents for years, and they`ve served me very well, theyre a good size for me, they feel great, they come with a rain guard which is important in the woods and at big games for me.

They also have a good area for me to glue my mount for my camera

The only issue with the Sly Profits is the fade lenses, if you get one make sure you buy a yellow/ clear lense, I had a mask with a fade lense a long time ago, and it was just really annoying!

But really best thing like I said is to try them all and consider what you need it for.

Thanks for your replies.
I have tried Dye i4s and they feel alright but felt a bit small.
Also tried the Sly and they felt much the same only a bit bigger round the jaw.
I own a single lense ex-rental vforce and a second hand proto switch. They are both comfy as they are a bot bigger then the dye. I had some jt enforcers ages ago, they.were good too.

Think its between the Sly, Proto Axis and Jt Flex.
