Right, im really getting into paintball and well need extra cash but i mainly want to learn.
just want to know how or who taught you how to marshall?
where people marshall?
is being a marshall competitive, cause ive seen on other threads alot of other guys marshall

just go down to a local site, ask the manager or one of the marshalls themselves who to speak to. For tournaments, I dunno if you get taught, probably you just watch other marshalls and are informed of the conduct.. experience builds up and it's like second nature soon

Aren't there some marshalling courses that you can go on now?

If you find any let me know because im intrested in giving it a go in tournaments myself!

im a marshall, dont know if you mean airball or woods... i can only speak for woods. you dont have to actually know anything (and most of us take advantage of that ), jus phone up your local site owner and ask if he's hiring, youll learn everything you need to know there.

It helps to be polite, but assertive (thinking along the lines of, you need a 18 stone rugby player, to do as he is told, and your a 15 year old kid!)..pay attention to what is going on and where, familiarise your self with the site guns (if recball marshalling), make sure you know the answer to any questions, such as where the deadbox is, game time, format and goal's, boundaries of fields etc.
Always carry a whistle and preferably a radio (walkie talkie) if the site uses them.
Do not be afraid to shout at people, for infringements, but explain to them afterwards why you shouted at them....learn not to become borred by shouting "KEEP YOUR GOGGLES ON PLAYER!!!!" every ten minutes.
Dont stand where you are likely to get shot...it's less fun when it happens all day, while your standing around.

If your marshalling adult Pikeys, just let them get on with it

yup, use your discression, so if, like skeet said all of the *******s are cheating, running in, doing generally crazy (but safe) things, let em go for it, its their money. so as long as all of them are having a good time, its fine.

just remember, listen to everything that your told (and try to remember it), make sure everyone keeps their mask down and that the punters have a good time.

also a good tip is not to push a players goggles back into his face... especially when the guy strongly resembles a bear...

Marshalling course would be great.. i would also like to know of any if they come up
I would hope to marshall recball at my local site but im into tourney so i would prefer reffing that
