Hi mate i am a newbie as well i have only been to paintball about 10 times and i got me own gun 2day i bought a Spyder and i av tested it wiv about 80 paintballs and it is nice wiv quite good accuracy. Spyders are quite small and they are sposed to be really good for playing speedball as u can point and shoot faster than other Markers. so overall i am impressed with it as i have fired quite a few guns like angels and cockers, and it is better than i thought it would be.
Good Luck

uh, kingman's are good (spyders), any gun based off the spyder design (PMI's, JT's, etc.), tippman 98's. all are decently priced guns that are reliable and easy to maintain.
check out this site's beginner tips for stuff to look for in a first gun, also check www.paintball.com for advice on your first marker.
when you figure out what features you want and maybe a few models you can read reviews on paintball.com and on www.pbreview.com
i like pbreview cause they're written by players.

Right a couple of things to say to this reply, not trying to disrespect you at all, youv said you played 10 games or so and youv shot quite a few guns like cockers and angels (big steps up from a spyder) In only 10 games. WHEN i was using a spyder flash lcd in America (pretty top end spyder problly only the AMG LCD IS better) one of my dads friends let my use his Angel while having lunch and damb, i thought my spyder was ****e and couldn't wait to upgrade it to a better marker (finally have:D ) so i don't know how you felt impressed with your marker over haven used an Angel (unless its because it was ur first time using it). unless you just lieing about useing an Angel.................?
