05 Proto Matrixes seem to be going for that sort of money at the moment second hand. Fantastic guns! Crazy cheap price. If you're interested in one I have one you can have for £200 if you want it.

Aside from PM5s, Ions and Autocockers go for under the £200 mark quite a lot :)

2nd hand sounds like a bargain - but you could be buying a whole heap of trouble (as you are new to this sport - errr - hobby).

Your safest and best bet is to go for something new. The ION is probably the best starter marker at the moment (hell of a load of bits and plenty of people to help) - so I'd go down that route. If it does screw up for any reason - there's always the warranty (12 months on new stuff!).

Once you know which end the bullets come out of - go for something a little more 'up-market'.

Bournemouth.
Second Hand 05 Angel Speeds are pretty bombproof, easy to maintain, yet have very good performance.

And you can find them for less than £200 these days.

Save an extra £50 quid and buy a PMR - these machines rip and can be easily upgraded - but only if you fancy upgrading it!

Its made well, shoots well out of the box, great support from Proto (and me and others also) and can be tweaked to suit you.

Buy one (from me even ;) )

Seriously though - Go PMR!
