Theoretically if I am travelling to canada shortly and have found a great deal in a matrix and i was intending to buy this and return home with it.WHat i would ask is do the Airlines BA Virgin etc tag your marker on the way out of the UK with anything,so it can be checked coming back in to the country.I have done a thread search and not found this covered.

Not that ive heard of mate...if your taking one out there, will you be coming back with two?
As long as the new one isnt in its package, and looks used, you can say you took it with you...DONT, leave the receipt in the bag!!! Your not going to need it, so bin it, or hide in your wallet or something. That way you wont have to pay import duty on it.

Here's an idea, flat pack the box, put the receipt with it and post it home, then bring the marker home with some mud on it, as if you've played with it, bound to work.

you should be fine fetching it home, but make sure you dont carry the recept and carry a copy of pgi with you so you can explain to airport staff that it isnt a gun.....never use the word gun to describe it.....its a marker

My brother managed to get one back when he went to the states, just make sure on the way back u get to the airport in plenty of time and tell um about it, as already has been said take a pgi with you, unpack it etc, other alternative is to take a really crud old pump out with u and bin it over there and return home with spanky new toy
