Marker ??

Looking to start up in paintballing unfortunately I can't afford an ion until late february so until then I was looking at either http://www.shop.justpaintball.co.uk/acatalog/Tippmann_98_Package.html I know that there are different upgrades for the tippmann but then I saw http://www.shop.justpaintball.co.uk/acatalog/VL_Genesis_Surge_Package.html not sure why I'm looking at this marker any additional info or help in choosing would be great, thanks ^^

Id advise you to save.....

Tippmans are typically a site marker so why not use a site tippmann until you can afford an ion etc?

Yeah...February isnt long to wait, mate...and if you actually want to play against walkons or tourny...then the Ion is the bare minimum you will need...otherwise your just going to be wasting money...better than an Ion, but more technical are Ebladed Cockers, which can be had scandalously cheap these days, as well as "older" (loosely used term) Angels, Speed A4 IR3 etc...

True...however, I think teh quality of the eblade is better than teh Ion....that is not to say, that I dont rate Ions, coz I do...very highly...that said, even i have moved away from cockers now, besides wanting something different, i do think, that they are a little out classed weight wise, and on teh technology front too...

The amount of upgrades is insane..

The question is; When does an Ion, become something else?

Only thing it really needs, is atrigger, coz they break and a feedneck...maybe a barrel. Everything else is fopr efficiency etc or tartyness

I'd add rail/ASA to that list...the stock ASA sits insainly far back IMO
