Hi there guys. I've been away from the fields for nearly three years now. My wife has stamped my pass and I'm looking to get back into it again though.

I've still got most of my gear, but I do need to get myself another marker. I used to shoot an ego, and E-blade cockers and always liked them. I was thinking of buying another Ego, or maybe an old nexus cocker or something.

Because I've been away though, I dont want to buy something and end up regretting it though, so I was wondering what you lot would buy. I'm looking to spend around £300-£350 on a marker (That does not mean I would not happily spend less than £200 on an e-blade though). I've looked in classified and from what I've seen, my budget would get me an Ego 8 (and obviously older Egos) or Etek 2, or a very nice looking SL66 etc.

It has to be reliable, it has to be up to speed with the latest ramp modes etc (or at least upgradable). So, if you had £350 to spend, what would you get?

Cheers for looking and helping guys.

Rob.

Not arguing with you, but there is a pink ego 8 for sale at £365 or sensible offers. Thats close enough to my budget to have a deal I think. So there are some 8's out there. So what would you buy?

£350 should buy you,

DM8
Ego8
Angel A1

All are top end, all have full ramp stuff.

What would i buy? Well, I have an A1 fly, but any of the above is a fairly safe bet. They all shoot nicely, they all have great backup.

Didn't you boys shoot the Grello angels at one point?

Firstly, welcome back Rob :).

Anyway, as you're used to Eclipse guns - you're probably going to go all 'ego'. Personally, I love the Angels (but I always have).

You can get an A1 Fly for around your budget (used of course) - or an A1 that's been fly'd.

cheers

Paintball seems to be as much about looking good as it is anything else, but if pink is your thing go for it mate! :) I'm only a noob and bought an Ego08 following recommendations on here, I don't think you'll go wrong.

Cheers guys.

As for being eclipse loyal, not really. I've had all sorts. From the first LED's, IR3's, A4's, Fly, Fly 2, Speeds etc etc. Also done Mags (way back in the day) and loads of cockers.

I do like the Ego (or at least used to when I last had one). I just wanted to make sure that it was still a good choice really.

As for Pink, I dont mind it. Its nice to be different and it is a really nice looking gun. Plus the wife can play with it.

Anyway, thanks again.

Rob.
