hi guys,
my markers dead and woundering if you guys can help. i have a speedster (spyder clone) and when i pull the trigger nothing happens. i dont get any click from the solinoid. before when i used to pull the trigger the valve woud quickly move but now it does nothing. Im woundering if a piece has sort of fallen off but i havent opened it up except to change the battery but it was working fine after that.

any one got any ideas???:( :(

cheers guys

Open the trigger frame and check if your trigger is "registering", if not you may need to alter you trigger, i think the solinoid is similar to the ones you find in eblade frames, check for broken or loose connections to the solinoid, im only down the road from you so if you would rather me look for you???

Sounds like a disconnected solenoid wire(s), make sure your battery is good first. Scars said he is just down the road from you....well I'm across the big pond here in the U.S....but I'll check it out for ya if you want?...lol,lol.

This is a reply for something i posted on the Kingman boards, it went wrong with my E99 Avant - The wires inside the capacitor were snapped meaning that the solenoid would trigger lightly but did not have enough kick to trip the sear.
--

This happened to mine last night, the capacitor wire has indeed snapped inside the capacitor. I have ordered 5 new ones from a shop for £10. Then all i have to do is put it in place of the existing one and it should work.

If i remember right its a 16v 6800uF electrolytic capacitor.

I got em from a shop called RS in the UK, their site it www.rswww.com i think.

RS Stock no is : 224-4246, Its made by Rubycon Netherlands and the part No is : 16YXF6800MY1837.

Then i did it and posted this
--

Right, it went in today, The capacitors were longer and fatter then the one in the gun, no problem, Got my dad to look at it and he is a whizz with a soldering iron, a little repositioning and the use of 2 new tails (wires) to go to the connections and it all fit nice and snug.

Basically youll just need to have a play if you ever do it . But now there is hardly any factory soldering in there that can go wrong. .

Hope this helps you, im assuming the trigger on my E99 avant, and your spyder clone are the same or very similar though.

Oh, the solenoid is nothing like the one on my eblade, i might have a spare one lying around somewhere you could have for a couple of pounds.

I work in tipton, which is a stones throw from wednesbury, if you fancied a trip to the big evil work house.

thanks steroberts ill take you up on that offer if all else fails.
Ive opened up my gip frame to check for loose connections and all that is fine. The problem is with the solinoid valve. The bit that whizzes in and out is getting jammed and thats what stopping my marker from firing. So guys, anyone got any ideas in how to stop the jamming??

cheers guys

sorry if my post is alittle confusing, but its hard to describe without actually showing you.

cheers

you might let scars take a look at it? He probably knows what hes on about.

I have spare capacitors for the trigger frame, but nothing else im afraid :(. Perhaps its into territory thats too hard to describe by text.

Warped sports in Wolverhampton on 01902 455455 are speedster dealers, Paul is the tech there. I doubt he could see it this side of christmas, or how much it will cost, im fairly certain that if you ran out of options he would sort it out tho.
