Want to get myself a new marker and im totally stuck between the Empire Axe and the PE Etha. Id be using it mainly for tournie so id need to consider air efficency, value for money, reliability, robustness, accuracy (big one) and simplicity of use. Any advice would be ace

Cheers

They are both pretty good tbh :)
Accuracy will barely be difference, only factor on guns is barrel really, and both are pretty good.
Buy whichever you can get cheapest (etha ATM) as they are pretty similar and tbh I prefer the etha, fells better in my hands.
Ether way you can't go wrong

Alright mate, I think ant still has his Etha and I think Julian got a new axe the other week so you could ask them to bring them down to apoc for next training session for you to try?? I would say the Etha because I personally think its better value for money but if you have enough for an axe it might be worth looking for a second hand ego 10 or geo...

Yeah ive been hammering the reviews on youtube and from the looks of it the Axe is the better marker but thats because its more expensive. I do really like the etha but i wonder how good its going to be when its taken to a tourney. Ah decisions decisions. Ill have to badger the blokes to let me try their markers and see how i find them.

it will do just as well at a tourney, i have used it at one and no problems, shot just as consistantly as my ego 10 and clone gt

i know it comes stock with a .693 barrel back to cater for the woodsball players. Would you say that affects its accuracy when using tourney grade paint? Accuracy is something im a little bit anal about.

i noticed ;)
and basically it won't make much difference, if accuracy is your main concern just buy top quality paint as this will affect it much more. also maybe just buy a decent barrel kit, available for about £40 on here second hand. with good paint, an etha, and a barrel kit you are at peak accuracy i would say :)

If you are bothered about accuracy then buy a deadly wind carbon fibre barrel they are AC thread and are fantastic I brought one of off ant for my etek for £100 with 7 freak inserts but I'm sure you can pick up just the barrel for about £60 off here and then buy the inserts seperate... Deffinately makes a big difference!

Yeah i was thinking about trying to source new shaft 3 or4 barrel backs for the etha but the sites dont seem to sell them in black.Hopefully someone out there might have some.
