i love the old angels mate and they are very good if u are looking to use them for rec-balling. only problem is you really need to know hat your doing with angels as they are great when working but take alot of looking after. if you want to play tourny ball i think you will need a up grade board so its the legal BPS. you can get plently of cheap markers now that will do pretty much anything your need
hope this helps

if you want to get into speedball get an upgrade board or a modern millenium board to do all the new rates of fire. Or if you wanna get a new reliable easy to take care of gun get a PMR 07/08 as they're decently cheap on the forum
If you want to do woodsball/scenario i wouldn't bother buying a new board as it isn't necessary but yet again if you wanna get a new gun go for an X7 or an A5 lumps got some A5s for sale on the "for sale" forum

the board allows the marker to do the tourney legal balls per second. is very hard to get a new board for the older angels i recently got one for mine and paid alot for it. i would recommend selling the angel if u want to play tourney and getting something else but for just woods ball it will be fine in fact will out do most other markers.

To elaborate on the last post....
Inside electronic markers there is a circuit board which controls when and how the gun shoots. The problem is, tournaments change their rules every year, resulting in the boards in the guns having to me limited at a certain #bps, as defnied by the people who run it.

Basically, if you wanted to play tournaments, you will want to get a new marker because the older angel boards are hard to get hold of and if you do it will cost a fortune.
