And I quote from the Millennium site rulebook the very first rule :

1.01 A playing-field is defined as being a flat, level area, surfaced to minimize injury and completely surrounded by league approved netting to ensure safety.

As you can see in the video and especially in 0:50 this is not a playing field! it poses a serious threat for injuries, actually our knees were destroyed by it.

I asked the officials, i got humorous replies like "you've played in worst fields"

I understand the frustation caused in the Millennium organization by the weather conditions, but I'm 100% sure that even if the sun was shining from Thursday the surface would have been the same.

They need to give players what we need starting with the basics.

looks about the same as the last two years, malaga is always the worst for surfices due to the nature of the sand.

I would be more worried about those shoes though

Considering the beach was covered with water up to the footpath wall at points in the week before the event, I think the Millennium did a bloody good job getting the beach rebuilt back to a playable level

As long as there is no unified and organized player front/owner front against Millennium, they will **** us up in any way that suits them to have max profit without delivering the goods.

Im quite sure the event will be at the same spot and around same time next year.

Picture this scene some of CPL teams had to go through:
There is heavy lightning, there is at least 10-15 cm water in the whole pit area.
2 unnamed CPL teams: "This is unsafe, we do not want to play right now, those field poles might attract the lightning!"

Millennium representative: "It looks safe for meg, if you feel it is unsafe you dont have to play, but you will loose your points"

Very understanding approach ...

Millennium representative: "It looks safe for me, if you feel it is unsafe you dont have to play, but you will loose your points"
Of course its safe for the representative. He/She is not walking on to the field holding a portable paint thrower/mini lightening rod. The field poles have a much higher chance of being hit but those markers are metal as well. The rep's carrying the least amount of metal so he's the safest person on the field so of course he/she's happy.

But the lightening was the reason the MS cancelled the Saturday games. Baldwin himself told me this was the biggest issue for safety or the players. I'm confused why people complaining then????
