I have just aquired an auto cocker but I have little idea of how to maintain it normally. Other than the obvious cleaning and oiling of the bolt and the outside pieces and the barrel is there a good way to keep the marker in tip top shape, i don't have a huge budget and i am no prepared to completely strip the thing without expert guidance. I only bought the thing for £265 with air and a revolution hopper, so you can tell my budget is not large as that was all i could spare for a marker.

eyup fellah did you enjoy the little tinker on the sup air today??

Nice splash on the cocker by the way*jealous*...mines just plain black.

Can you make the practice on sunday at the site we still have loads of paint left so cost should be minimal and I'll bring the maintenance file for the teams markers, got info on both mine and Barts markers .

The only maintenance a cocker (assuming it's set up properly in the first place) needs is a clean and posibly greasing the bolt. Unless you know what you are doing then you will do more harm than good on the rest of it if you know nothing.

The best way to learn is hang out in forums, read the numerous FAQ'a out there. Ravi's site, paintballguru, pbnation, warpig, tinkers guild etc etc. Once you've read quite a bit then crack out the tools and go to work, then use the knowledge you've gained to strip and re-build it.

Oh, and BTW, don't beleive everything people tell you on the 'net :D
