Maintenance of a marker over a long time

When a marker reach some years, Do you have to have to do any special maintenance? Like taking it to a mechanic, changing some pieces, passing some regular inspection, or something like that.

It's good to have it serviced but not necessary. Strip it completely, clean every part and change all o-rings that look worn and that'll do the trick.

Unfortunately most manuals in paintball are completely useless, some don't even show you how to properly disasemble. Hats off to Eclipse and others for making good booklets, but I'd like to name and shame SmartParts for some of their trashy manuals.
