Magnets in Triggers

I splashed out and bought a magnet response kit for the cp roller trigger, and have been thinking about why they make the magnets to attract each other.

I cut down a spring to stick in there that makes the return much nicer, but I can't really see the point of assisting the pull rather then using the two contacts pollerised the same so they assist on the return. It would be a more use to me, but does anyone know why it is done that way?

Or have it got it round the wrong way and I messed up?:D

Magnets are used in different systems to both attract and repell a trigger.

The magnets are arranged so they attract on guns like the Angel A4, to reduce the force needed to pull the heavily sprung opto lever.

Planet guns have been using attracting magnets since the eblade, presumably because they wanted to give the trigger some feedback like the old school mechanical cockers had.

Opposing magnets are more common, and do the same job as a spring, but usually offer a bit more adjustability.

Personally I like my trigger without any spring or magnet, I have a delrin trigger which is nicely returned by the microswitch without any bounce...
