How many magazines have ceased publishing and how many are left ? I miss PGI dearly and would love to see it come back but I know that aint gonna happen.

Paintball Sports has finally given up the ghost and so it pretty much leaves Faceful and APG ......

I have heard rumours of both those magazines having problems and maybes they are of the opinion that since they are the only ones left, then it makes sense to hang around a while because the industry has to advertise somewhere ..........

This thinking is OK as long as the industry guys still believe the printed matter has a role to play in terms of promotion but as we all know, the playing demographic is getting younger and these guys tend tend to inhabit the world of the internet rather than W.H. Smiths ..... and so that's where companies may want to invest any advertising budgets.

Sad but true :(

PS And you are right, PGi won't be making any return, we had our time!

Mac, the other magazines weren't really sold here, they were on sale in the US and all of them were doing pretty well, advertising wise, up until about 3 years ago.
PGi sold 90% of our magazines in the US and if you were to ever be regarded as a serious mag, you needed newsstand distribution in the US.
This also meant, 90% of our revenue was US based in terms of advertising because magazine sales only really covered their printing costs.
