Maybe someone can help me out with this problem. I currently have a power feed micromag with a warp feed, smart parts progressive, jj barrel and nitro. I recently tested out a Matrix and when I shot it I almost spooged myself. I loved the way it shoots and its trigger, but, it would be 200 dollars to get it. My previous plan was to keep my micromag and buy a freak system for about 200 dollars. There is the dillemma. Do I buy a matrix and keep the stock barrel and the two I have(yes micro-mags have cocker threads), or do I stick with my trusty mag and put a freak on it. If you have any insights into the Matrix such as any problems that would be of interest please post them. Thanks

Also what about an Impulse with a Freak. I have heard some good things said about an impulse, although to me it looks way too tall and seems like it would be hard to run around with and snap shoot do to the tall vert. feed. The freak just speaks for itself and I would probably end up getting a freak a couple of months after I got the matrix anyways.

I just can't make up my mind. I loove the way that the matrix shoots and its accuracy, but if I got that it would take me while to save up for a Freak Kit. The impulse doesn't shoot as good as the matrix in my opinion but I would be able to afford a Freak Kit much sooner than with my matix. I'll probably just end up selling my mag and crawling back to my old shocker. Though the whole idea of running with a brick kinda pisses me off. Can I get a second opinion.

matrix

get a matrix, with a freak kit.
Get the red bolt kit, from:
http://www.aardvarkdirect.com/
and get a trinity regulator to lower the bolt pressure.
I've got this setup, and it totally rocks. I've got the trinity set up so that the bolt pressure is under 75psi, meaning you can comfortably stick your finger down the feed kneck and stop the bolt against your finger. It's really sick, it just dosn't chop paint at all. When you get going very fast (16 bps and up) it just skips instead of chopping. The red bolt kit from Aardvark is milled to higher tolerances, meaning you get better air effiency and rof.

You may also want to get a halo, to keep up with the rate of fire.
With all that you can spit out a ton of paint, you'll get about 9 pots of paint from a 4500/88, and it'll be very quiet and accurate.
it's as fast (or faster than an angel), as accurate as a cocker, and quieter than a shocker. what more do you want in a paintball gun?
The only draw back to this gun, in my opinion is the look of the stock body, but appently KAPP are doing an matrix version of their famous flame autococker.

I highly recomend this gun, I've tried them all, and this one really rocks.

cant shoot wont shoot
matrix

if i was u i wood def go 4 the matrix if i had the dough i wood get one right this second .i am an impulse owner and the matrix beats the impulse accuracy hands down . as 4 the freak it is a very good barrel when matched with the vision impy but with a matrix i wood have a boomstik as they r not an arse to clean like the freak unless u buy the vision in which case u wont chop a ball so it dont matta hope this helps:D :D :D

You should diffinetly get the matrix, I have played with A matrix, a cocker, a mag, an lcd,one of the origional angels, a shocker and an impulse.
I have found the the feel of the matrix is alot like the orgional angel accept that it does not chop paint and can be fired faster alot easier. You should get the matrix as even without the freak kit it is a very good electro marker that is light and comfortable to play with. The freak is a good barrel but you shouldn't base the whole purchase around it, go for the matrix

stock barrel

there are a few stock barrels available for the matrix (depending where you get it from), i got a 14'' CP matrix barrel, that fits blaze pretty good, but you can't put zap through it, (maybe euro zap, but not american zap)
a freak with budd threads though is a very good investment.
