This just from the Millennium...

It was quite apparent that the Madrid event was not up to the usual high standards expected of The Millennium Series, particularly with regard to the Division 1 through 3 teams.

Unfortunately a late issue with our primary venue meant that we had to change to a less than perfect event site. Although the permanent staff did the very best they could, we were unable to organise this site to our normal high standards in time. For this we apologise and have now put new procedures into place to ensure this never happens again.

Next year we have some exciting new venues we are looking at and working hard to secure for our 2007 calendar of events. In the future, the Millennium Board have decided to only work in areas where we have a 100% confidence in the local authorities and the local system of operation.

As a gesture of good will we would also like to offer the Division 1, 2 & 3 teams who attended Madrid a special discount for the remaining events in Paris and London and therefore would like to offer your team a 15% discount at each of these last two tournaments.

In addition to this we will ensure the quality of the last 2 events will be superb in every respect so as to restore your faith in The Millennium Series. We want these events to give you a real taster of what's to come in 2007.

Once again the Millennium Board would like to apologise and we look forward to the opportunity to give you an excellent time in Paris and London.

Don't forget that Paris is nearly full so if you don't already have your team entered please contact head office as soon as possible. Also if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

And what about the teams that played Madrid and cannot (or don't want to) play Paris/London?

The gesture is good, but IMO it's not enough.
Any suggestions???

I think 15% off is pretty reasonable...lets just hope they've learnt from Madrid and we don't get any more tourney's as ****-poor as that one...

To be honest, and considering the position Pedro put the rest of the board in, I think the offer is a good one and at least shows a true willingness to put things right which in times past, the board haven't really shown a serious resolve to do so.

All things considered, the board have stepped up to the plate and done what's right not least of which is making sure Pedro never gets a chance to fcuk us all over again.

This initiative took bollocks !!!

In the captains meeting we were told they were gonna look for a way to make it up to ALL the teams involved. This is only making it up for the teams that are gonna play Paris/London.

Suggestions? Plenty. But it's not my job.

I agree Pete, and I did thank Laurant and Baldwin when they showed up in Madrid. We went from"f*** you" to "we are sorry and we are gonna make it up for you guys". It showed class and respect for the players.

But this is only making it up for some of the teams, and that makes it IMO a not so good solution.
