Here it is then the (unofficial for now) M25 Rankings after Round 4 (Chobham).

Points to note:

These are UNOFFICIAL rankings and not the scores used for series prizes.

This ranking system is based on AVERAGING and not ACCUMULATED scores.

Lots of teams have played only one event. These will be deleted after the next round.

STORM, due to there changing names and teams places have been alocated in pro, Am, Nov order irrespective of which team played when ! (i.e rd 2 ? teams were storm 1,3,2 ! in that order)

good job mate but how dose it work out for teams that have played all 6 events and those that have only played 3 or 4.
Dont forget to take into account the points for marshalling..

also how does it work with regards to divisions?

aren't the winners from each division ment to go through to some end of season event thats ment to be national....?

coz the way i view it (from ur score board) is that potentially one team could enter one event, get all maxes and win...

i'm a bit confussed (nothing new there!)

You're getting confused between rankings and season placings. Ranking systems should just be used as a guide (and not slavishly followed!) to show which teams are at or around the same level, and should therefore be playing in the same division. They will be based on a sort of average of the performance of a team over time.
Placings are determined by adding up all placings over a season to get a total.

The end of the season invitational tourney you're talking about is for teams that have played a number of events round the country, one selected tournament from each of the main series. The SWPL, MM, S2k, Phoenix and M25 have got together and formed the UKPL and chosen one event from each of them to score points towards the final. M25's was the Reading leg back in April, then we have the Phoenix Cup, Heaven's Gate, Welsh Open and Simply the Best as the other qualifying events. the points over lap so top 2 of div 2 is the same as the bottom 2 in div 1 or some thing like that.
At the end of the day we need this to help juge how our team is doing against the rest.
If we could get this set up for all teams and tornys people will treat us more like a sport.

Thankfully liz covered most of the questions whilst I was away this weekend watching Eminem !!!!! And as she say's this is a RANKING and not a series points or prizes thing ! I am in the process of building a web site which will have all the details of how it works, plus tables for all the leagues and an overall table for every event I can get the results from ! Ive just done the first 3 rounds of S2003 so wonce I'm up to date with that I'll post that as well !!!
