M25 Looking Up ?

Ralph

BAD TO THE BONE
Well that's my stint as ultimate marshal for the M25 over with as i'm on holiday for the last leg. To be honest i'm a little gutted not to be at the event but no amount of persuding is gonna stop me getting on that plane:)

Back to the land of dreamzzzz........ i really had a good day today. No major whinges about the marshaling and so far the only complaints have been about the fields being a bit small and the netting.
Although it's technically not my department : With regards to the fields they were limited with space because as i recall at the last brickett wood leg there were only 3 fields and today there were 4. : The netting : i dont know how you can make it completely paintball proof. It does need to be looked into but if F1 can't stop people running on to the track during a race, despite a shed load of secuirty, maybe it's one of those things that you can never, ever eliminate. Not for the want of trying.

What i fail to understand is teams reluctance to fill in their insurance waivers. It's one those things that need to be filled in before a team can take to the field. No punter off on a jolly with his mates gets anywhere near a paintball gun before they have filled in their form and tournament players are not exempt!!

I did not recieve one complaint about any specific field or even a specific judge for that matter. I'm not saying that they didn't make mistake's but i told them at the meeting that i was not having another bashing on the boards from the 'everdisgruntled crew' and to get on top from game one. I added that we could be there till 6:30 if they didnt get games turned around. It was up to them but they would still only get the same money.
They responded well and we finished more or less to schedule and as i say no major complaints........as yet.
i'd like to thank them everyone of them and at the other legs as well for being out there in the middle.
What some players and you know who u r :D have got to be wary of now is the tower. I asked for it to be placed within the fields so that i could observe games. From there i managed to direct 3 1-4-1's:eek:
So when your playing next; look around, look down and then look up, cause someone is going to be watching:D

Lastly i hope everyone enjoys the last leg in august and my sincere wish is that someone (anyone) who has been playing the M25 makes an impact at Campaign cup a couple of weeks later and that they recognise where they laid that foundation;)

Well I think the Ultimate from Sunday was Rubbish - All he did was stand in that tower all day handing out one-for-ones!

Disgraceful! Where was the the inept marshalling? The sub-standard chrono'ing? If this keeps up, then I will be forced to play the entire series next year with a smile on my face:eek:

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

big big titties
1 complaint, and one thing i can add:D
good thing:

well done to all the marshalls, there was a stage where our games actually ran ahead by a few minutes!!!  and i realyl do congratulate every marshall for this, good going!

bad thing:
in at least 3 games, while waiting to be chronied, the opposing team were being chronied and the marshall is meant to do a 3 shot average yes? (if not, please correct me) and we had player with their guns so close to 300fps, the marshall had to do more than 20 shots, and maybe every 1 in 2 shots was making the chrony beep.

oh yeah, sort of moan. one ,marshall on the rps field, called 10 seconds, and didnt even have his goggles down, so one of our players hadnt turned his gas on for the safety of the marshall!

other than that, as i have said, great going guys:D

Punter......

Didnt he trust himself not to point the gun at the marshall, and to keep his finger off the trigger if it was? The marshall shouldnt have had his goggles off, but that is no reason not too turn your gas on!

Not really, there is no reason why you should have your gun pointed at the marshall at any time, let alone when he has his goggles off. I think you may find that the judge's can speak clearer and be heard better by both teams if they call 10 secs with their goggles off.

But why???

It should only worry you if you are inthe habit of shooting the judge to hype yourself up......which you are not, just concentrate on ur game and ignore what he's doing
