the origional stage 5 yes, was a limited run of only 99
the new stage 5.1s arent limited edition other than the twister and skeleton body styles which are indeed limited again with only 99 being made, the other three designs though are (as far as my knowledge) arent limited
again feel free to argue this, this is just my knowledge on the subject

That is correct.
The original stage 5s were made in limited number because Lucky was certain a bigger company would rip off the BOB and eye cover design and swamp the market. Back then lucky was a much smaller operation than it is now, and something like that could have sunk them.
Many months on and it looks like the other aftermarket parts companies either havent or cant replicate the s5 design (they probably can, but not with the enormous profit margins they are used to).
Lucky already had the rest of the ion aftermarket parts market sewn up (the best board, the best bolt etc) so they decided to bring back the ONLY true BOB design and release the stage 5.1. (note the lucky body remains the only ion body where you can withdraw the bolt without tools)
There will be no more than 150 of each of the limited edition bodies, they are truely limited edition.
The Standard production bodies will not be limted.
