Ok

After having tried to get a t-board but the stockists being out of stock until mid december im looking into a lucky board for an ion.

Is it worth the extra £13 and get the lucky board and mac or save some money and get the cheaper lucky board without mac noid and use the origional niod....

pros and cons for both will be good....

thanx

in a stock ION about 21 max, with a QEV and a lucky bolt about 24. This is because the boards dwell needs to be set lower, with stock internals the gun just cant fire that fast, but with a lighter and more effcient bolt the gun the dwell can be lowered to about 15 and then the time that the bolt takes to move back and forth is reduced allowing more shots to be fired per second.

I just got the Luck 4 board in my Ion on Saturday from Jim at warped. I got the Stock noid version (SP) and it shoots great! Still running a stock bolt for a couple of weeks till I get a luck bolt to match, but I have mine running a dwell of 15 and it was shooting sweet monday night - the board RIPS! Plus we had it cycling at 30bps dry with ramp in the shop. Melted the detents!! So, yeah, its sweet with the SP noid. Plus it don't blow up if you over pressure it by accident. I hear the Mac noid's a little more sensitive to that! Hope it helps

No, Quite the opposite.
The MAC noid is much stronger than the stock noid so its much less likely to be damaged from overpressure.

We had the mac noid doing 40 cylces per second at 320psi for almost an hour without damage to the solenoid, we tried the same with the stock noid and we didnt even get to 320 psi before it failed.

Both boards will fire fast enough, but the MAC noid is tougher and doesnt require routine maintinence, so its more reliable.
