Lucky Stage 2 - Ion

Gents,

I'm about to install a Lucky Stage 2 (firing can) and a Smart Parts 360 QEV to my stock Ion.

I've done as much as research as possible in order to ensure I do the job properly, and I'm happy with installing the QEV, but still trying to find enough information in order to take the Ion to bits and put it back together for the firing can install.

Can anyone supply a link that will give me a step by step method on how to change the firing can over?

Also, once I have completed the firing can and QEV mod, has anyone got suggestions on setting my dwell up. I've read so many different posts, and have got quite a few different suggestions, and now I'm just a bit bloody confused about it all. I'm looking for the simplest method, not necessarily the most accurate. Note I've got a full tank of air, but only about 50 paint to use if this is involved in setting the dwell up.

Any help is gratefully welcomed.

Just follow the instructions in your manual for removing the fire can and when reassembling use the stage 2, a couple of things to remember note the way the dounut on the rear of the fire can goes on and you may have to place a small oring between the 360.

any problems pm me on here

Done it..

Phew... done it....

Upon re-assembly and gassing up for first time it was spewing air.... not leaking but spewing it out... then I realised I forgot to place the donut into the new Lucky firing can... (stoo-pid!). Once put together properly all good.

Other than the fiddly clip on the back of the firing can, the QEV and Lucky stage 2 install was a peice of piss. I would say it was no harder than performing standard bolt lube and cleanup maintenance on the Ion.

Dwell seemed easy enough, set it at minimum, increase one at a time until it will dry fire properly without drop-off, then add five clicks, then double check by putting paint through it. Fanny-tastic....

Thanks for help guys.
