I went to the States during a holiday and bought myself a nice new spydey. I had to take it on the plane and put it in my luggage. I am wondering if this would have dried out the gun? Do i need to oil it again and if so, how do I do this? Are there any other things I need to oil (lubricate), or is there anything else that I should do before I start playing with it?

Please help me!
Thank you.

Usually 3-4 drops in the ASA (where the bottle screws in) before attaching the bottle, followed by a few dry fires (preferably with the barrel off so it doesn't get oily) is all you need before you play. Preferably use paintball gun oil, but whatever you use make sure it's suitable for use on o-rings (some oils cause o-rings to swell or harden.) After you play, take out the striker and bolt, wipe clean, check all the o-rings for any damage and reassemble with a drop of oil on each o-ring. That is pretty much all the regular care spyders need, as long as nothing breaks.

Yeah, few drops in the ASA and 15 or 20 dry fires, and you'll be set. Use synthetic oil, no WD40, Vaseline or Duck Oil or anything like that. ACI, Warped Sportz, WDP and probably a mess of other companies have oil designed specifically for paintball markers.
