I've seen numerous LPRs and know how to install them (how lucky :D) but what are they good for?? What is the theory behind (without getting scientifically technical)...

Are they like a second or third regulator for very improved consistancy or is this just a bonus??

Can they lower the working pressure so you dont chop balls and how in case do they do it?? :p

As I'm an Impy-owner I would appreciate if examples could be given with this marker in mind (though I believe it sholdn't matter... ;))

Means you can run a higher pressure to the valve.
You'll never get the bolt pressure on an impy low enough so as to not chop(bout 50-60 psi) not whilst still getting any sort of efficiency anyway.
They do allow you to drop the bolt pressure a little though which results in less kick and as you can let more air to the valve reduce dwell = more efficient.

Thanks...

Higher pressure to the valve?? You mean instead of upping the inlet pressure and risking to blow soleonids??

How do the LPR do that?? Is it splitting the airflow like VFF's or something??
