lp preset on Ion

Ok looking to get an lp preset but need to keep my Ion before i get my other gun (which runs lp).

Will an Ion run fine on an lp preset? (baring in mind am only going to be using it for training, so doesnt have tto be that efficient)

im not to sure about this but i think the only reason you need HP is because LP wont keep up with the ROF of a ion. So shooting fast you may get bad drop down but slow and steady should be fine. Also how about geting a adjustable reg?

Ions are LP gats, same as shockers, you best running it on LP as not to risk blowing your noid up.

Angels, timmys, matrixs will all happily sing on LP... explain that?

I can see your reasoning, but the ion's minireg is designed to have at least 850psi into it.
The gun itself probably runs about 160psi into the gun, so an lp preset with 450psi output should give enough backup for the minireg to work well.

yeah SP advice is to use a HP bottle so that it can keep up with the reg.
