ok heres the deal...

I got a paintball gun 2-3 years ago from walmart, and used it once. its a brass eagle stingray. i played again for the first time this past weekend, but the guys i played with had better guns and everything.

so im in a delima. I know my gun pretty much sucks, but I dont really feel like going out spending 200 dollars on a gun, especially if me playing kinda fades away. I was thinking of "upgrading" my gun by adding a barrel and getting a couple 9oz Co2 tanks, and just seeing what that does. I would rather just do that and get a better mask, then go out and get a better gun and keep the same crappy mask I have now.

what should I do? I am going to go look sometime soon at packages they have at galyans, and I am willing to spend no more than 200 if the package has a good gun, co2 tank and a good mask, but if I could get away with "upgrading" my gun, I would like to spend as least amount of money as possible. but i dunno really.

any advice?

If you bloody keep doing this, I swear I'm leaving the "team", cos you obviously have some kind of deal going with this dude that you're telling the rest of us, and this is p*ssing me off now...

You’ll find that until you spend $100 or so then you will be getting outgunned by rental markers (guns). I'm not actually sure of whether there are any upgrades for brass eagles, and even then the upgrades would probably be more expensive than the marker, because things like the most basic air systems start at $120, bottom end barrels being around $40.

I would definitely recommend spending your cash on something a little better, like a spyder. Spyders are very popular among starters and are good value for money, I think that they start at around $100+ normally, but there is one to clear on paintball online for $50. Look here

Spyders are also very upgradeable, and are easy to maintain and reliable. They look quite good as well.

If you buy the above package you will need to buy a 200 shot hopper and a C02 tank with it, dependant on what you have already. The hopper doesn't need to be electric and a standard one will cost around $6.

If you boost your order to over $100 then you get free shipping, so maybe look at some extras, like a barrel.

As far as masks go, if you buy a JT mask, you can't go far wrong, they are all decent quality and spares are available everywhere.

Hope that helps you :)

a very bad downside u have to stripp it to ajust the volocity (cant spell) nally however when it did work and on full volosity and a new barrel sould wark better the barrel is very small dont u think
