Weird request but anyhow, does anyone know or even have one of those mouse pads they used to sell that you strap to your leg. I know I'm gonna catch some flak but if it works why knock it and on a similair subject I need a keyboard stand that will increase the angle it sits at, I already have the legs extended but I have to put a couple of cd cases under the legs to get the angle I want.

rancid

Track ball won't work, and Rancid this site ;)

The reason is I have bought a new computer desk and the height is rather much higher than the unit I had before, My chair is on its highest setting so can't just go buy a new chair plus they cost way too much and the one I have is very comfortable, so when typing the angle of the keyboard feels wrong to me so I want a greater angle...as far as the mouse pad thing as a lot of time I am surfing just with the mouse and I will end up with an sore wrist due to the new height of my desk...I have a cordless mouse and when the mouse pads that strapped to your leg were released the mice available were all cabled versions so it was a silly idea now the need and actually use will work perfectly I just need to find one. I knew I was opening myself up for a flak but then the reasoning for why is sound, a lot of people swear by those offset keyboards and track balls but they aren't for everyone.

I understand about RSI, the same applies if your keyboard is too flat, to put into words how I want the rake to be is difficult but for the keyboard to be comfortable FOR me I need it at a greater than normal angle, this all brought about by the new desk...if I was higher or the desk lower it would be fine...can't alter those two things so to alter the keyboard is the answer...some people don't even use the feet on keyboards I have even looked at other peoples PC's and when I have put the feet out they have commented that they didn't even know they were there ! and how much more comfortable the act of typing is now  I could put the keyboard on my lap but then I have a trailing lead and that isn't any good....for the cost of a keyboard stand versus a cordless keyboard...no contest and I would still have the mouse location problem :( Ok some could say that I shouldn't have bought the desk but then for the other things I need at hand on the desk, rather than spread about previously it made sense, perhaps I will look at adding a pull out draw but even that will be counter productive as the chair then won't fit under the desk
